Laird elected president of state barber’s board

JACKSON — L.W. Laird Jr. of Natchez was recently elected president of the State of Mississippi Board of Barber Examiners.
The board’s office is located on George Street in Jackson. The board is responsible for overseeing operations of 21 barber schools, 1,500 barber shops and 4,500 licensed barbers in the state.
