Mack Rice

NATCHEZ — Services for Mack R. Rice, 55, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Milford Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.
Mr. Rice was born Sept. 23, 1953, in Natchez, the son of Floyd Rice and Pearline Johnson Rice. He was a retired truck driver. He was a member of the LF and C Society and the MBPFB Society. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Nellie Yancy; three brothers, Lee Oscar Rice, the Rev. Floyd Rice III and Roy Rice.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Woods Rice; one son, Mack Rice and wife, Kadiedra, of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Cornelia Stewart and Angelia Wilkins and husband, Johnny, all of Natchez; his mother; five grandchildren; five sisters, Velma McCray and husband, Wilbert, Irene Baldwin, Rosie Woods and Dora Stanton, all of Natchez, and Ora Batieste and husband, Wilson, of Kenner, La.; two brothers, Ernest Johnson and wife, Ollie, of Chicago and Percy Rice of Natchez; one godchild, Ebony Hill of Natchez; seven aunts; three uncles; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
