HAZLEHURST — Graveside services for Johnnie Mahdeen Pope, 88, of Fayette, who died Saturday, July 18, 2009, were noon Tuesday, July 18, 2009, at Pine Bluff Cemetery with the Rev. Laurie Raborn officiating.
Burial followed under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home in Fayette.
Mrs. Pope was born March 4, 1921, in Jefferson Davis County, the daughter of John Harvy and Olamie Mobley Owens. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include one son, John Pope Sr. and wife, Annette, of Collierville, Tenn.; three grandsons, three grandsons, John Pope Jr. and wife, Maria, of Japan, Charles Pope and wife, Jackie, and James Pope; and one great-granddaughter, Krista Pope.
