NATCHEZ — Cain Madden of Natchez and a native of Woodville earned a rare honor, Most Distinguished Chapter President for the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Madden was one of 30 in the nation chosen for the honor; at the PTK International Conference in Grapevine, Texas.
He recently graduated from Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez, where he was president of the campus’ PTK chapter, Alpha Alpha Zeta.
Madden is an inductee into the Co-Lin Natchez Hall of Fame, was president of the Student Government Association, and news manager of the campus newspaper N-Sights.
Earlier this year Madden was chosen the Most Distinguished Chapter President of the Mississippi/Louisiana Region, a distinction that the Natchez campus chapter has never received. Madden won the Golden Key Award.
“Working with Cain in PTK was a rare pleasure; he was such a motivated president and created most of the Phi Theta Kappa projects this past year,” said Nancy McLemore, one of the staff advisors to the Alpha Alpha Zeta Chapter.
Madden will attend the Mississippi University for Women and major in communications and journalism.
