Vidalia — The regular monthly First Saturday Gospel Music Fest will feature gospel singer Mark Lanier at 6 p.m. Saturday Aug. 1 at Cornerstone Church in Vidalia.

Lanier is a well known solo gospel music singer who has been singing for many years as a quartet member and for the last 10 or more years as a solo artist and music evangelist.

He sang with The Bibletones and Poet Voices and has been on many Southern Gospel Programs including Gaither Homecoming.

His desire is to participate in spreading the good news of Jesus by singing in revivals, community events and in appearances in churches wherever invited.

In addition to singing, he is also and accomplished song writer whose songs have been recorded by several Southern Gospel groups.

Lanier and his family now live in Ball, La., where he is an active member of the local church.

The community is invited to come out and enjoy an evening of enjoyable, inspiring Christian Music.
