FERRIDAY — Services for Dorothy Mae Kelley, 85, of Ridgecrest, who died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, at her residence will be 11 a.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Gary Howington officiating.
Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Kelley was born May 16, 1924, in Jonesville, the daughter of Mose Monroe Morace and Leona Mae Morace. She was a resident of Ridgecrest, a home maker and a member of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey K. “Shorty” Kelley; one son, Kenneth R. Kelley; one daughter, Opal G. Mullins; two grandsons, Kenneth R. Kelley Jr. and Joshua Matthew Kelley; four sisters and one brother.
Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Kelley of Ridgecrest; one daughter, Elizabeth Faye Fletcher of Ridgecrest; three sisters, Louise Smith of Vidalia, Lillian Moore of Aimwell and Dora Parker of Ball; one brother, Wallace Morace of Sandy Lake; numerous nieces and nephews; two step-daughters, Julie Herrera and husband, Vincente, of California, and Beverly Dendary and husband, Paul, of Nevada; one step-son, Ronnie Kelley and wife Debra, of California; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Johnnie Donald, Tyler Forman, DeWayne Forman, Robert Evans and Anthony Donahue.
