NATCHEZ — A single car accident took the life of a Natchez man late Monday night.

Adams County Sheriff’s Investigator Ricky Stevens said Richard “Dickie” Kimball, 44, was traveling on Redd Loop when his pick-up truck drifted on to the right shoulder.

“It looks like he over corrected when he got back on the road,” Stevens said.

Once on the road, Kimball’s vehicle slammed into an embankment on the left side of the road.

Stevens said the impact with the embankment caused the vehicle to flip and ejected Kimball from the truck.

Kimball was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead the scene, Stevens said.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Central Baptist Church Cemetery in Wisner, La.
