Two men were arrested and one man fled across the eastbound Mississippi River bridge Saturday afternoon after a wreck on the bridge that left one family shaken and unanswered questions for Vidalia police. Arthur Richardson and William Cartrell, both of Natchez, were arrested at the scene after colliding with another vehicle carrying four passengers on the eastbound bridge near Vidalia. Another man fled the scene by sprinting the entire length of the bridge and escaping into an adjacent wooded area on the Mississippi side before Natchez police could capture him. Officers would not comment on the arrests or the causes of the wreck saying that it is under investigation. No one was injured in the wreck.
