FAYETTE — Services for Gloria Mae Day, 60, of Fayette, who died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, at Southwest Mississippi Medical Center in McComb, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hollywood Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Jefferson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Ms. Day was born July 20, 1949, in Natchez, the daughter of James and Sarah Kaho Day.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Survivors include three loving children, Vernessa R. Day, Kim L. Day and LaFendreick Day, all of Fayette; her father of Fayette; five grandchildren, Gabrielle, Dontrell, Kyra, Kamryn and Keliyah Day; six sisters, Lillie Day-Strickland of Omaha, Neb., Beatrice Day-Holmes of Cannonsburg, Delores Jones, Ora L. Doss, Mary L. Hamberlin and husband, Lavern, and Cassandra D. Guice and husband, Dudley, all of Fayette; four brothers, James Day Jr. of Omaha, Charles Day and wife, Mildred, Robert L. Day and wife, Bessie, and Donald Day and wife, Shelly, all of Fayette; one aunt, Lotie M. Kaho; two uncles, Henry Kaho Sr. and Willie Kaho, all of Cannonsburg; one special friend, Geraldine Doss of Stampley; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
