MEADVILLE — Services for Jackie “Jack” Davis, 67, of Roxie, who died Monday, Aug. 17, 2009, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charlie Seale officiating.
Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.
Mr. Davis was born Dec. 23, 1941, in Carthage, the son of Willie Jefferson Davis and Eula May Alford Davis. He was employed as an industrial mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one stepson, Jerry Dale Bedford; one brother; and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine Pierce; two stepdaughters, Debbie Holmes of Roxie and Liz Myers of DeRidder, La.; one brother, Jimmy Davis and wife, Jewell, of Brookhaven; one sister, Bobbie West and husband, John, of Smithdale; five grandchildren, Michelle Sizemore, Anna Bedford, Danielle Holmes, Hayley Bedford and George Nichols Jr.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Brown, Keith Brown, Larry Davis, Earl Davis, Darryl Davis, Steven Smith and Jeff Smith.
