Natchez native earns degree at MC

CLINTON — Lekeshia M, Jones, 1998 graduate of Natchez High School, graduated on Aug. 1, from Mississippi College with specialist degree in educational administration.
Jones finished with a 3.75 GPA which earned her a spot on the dean’s list.
To satisfy requirements for the degree, candidates had to complete rigorous coursework, network with school districts across the state, attend seminars, work in study groups and participate in a year-long action research project and defense.
Her project was titled “The Effects of Preconceived Notions on Nontraditional Student Enrollment in Career and Technical Education.”
Jones hopes to become a leader in a K-12 school setting.
She is the daughter of Jackie and Robert McNeely and has a daughter named Cambria Chatman.
