Before the days of advanced medicine, or even the presence of doctors, Native Americans and early pioneers learned to use the medicinal qualities of plants that grew around them.
Jean Simonton, of the Master Gardeners, will present the program, which will include hands-on demonstrations. The program begins at noon, and participants are encouraged to bring a sack lunch.
Admission is free.
