NATCHEZ — Services for Terry Lynn Farmer, 54, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009 at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Russell Wagoner and the Rev. Jason Cole officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel.
Terry Lynn Farmer was born Nov. 1, 1954 in Independence, La., the daughter of Percy Edwin Simmons and Sallie Vera Scott Simmons. She was formerly employed as a registered nurse, and was known by her grandchildren as “Granny T.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Roy Farmer Sr.; one son, Wesley Farmer and her loving grandparents.
Survivors include two daughters, LaShey Switzer and husband, J.T., of Natchez, and Emily Farmer and fiancé Ryan Merritt of Ferriday; two granddaughters, Paige Switzer and Ryleigh Merritt; one grandson, Cole Switzer; her parents; two sisters, Deborah Walker and husband, James, of Fayette and Elizabeth Murphy and husband, Steve, of Sheridan, Wy.; one brother, Randy Simmons of Gulfport, and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be James “Cornbread” Walker, Dorwin Robinson, Craig Simmons, Mike Upton, Blane Robinson and Clint Robinson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Davis, Ray Farmer and Don Boyte.
