See it all from monuments to mufflers

Visit the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Library on the Natchez campus to enjoy the Museum of Mississippi History traveling photo exhibit through September.
From Monuments to Mufflers is an exhibit detailing Mississippi’s unique outdoor sculpture. Outdoor sculptures grace town squares, cemeteries, schools, churches, parks and numerous other sites across the state.
These sculptures are pieces of art that are sometime celebrated and many times forgotten. Over two years, volunteers helped to discover the state’s various outdoor sculptures in part with the “Save Outdoor Sculptures!” or “SOS!” national campaign cosponsored by the Smithsonian Institute and the National Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Property.
The exhibit celebrates their findings and the many pieces of outdoor sculpture the state has to offer.
From the monumental and meaningful to the whimsical and magical, come view this important part of Mississippi’s artistic heritage.
The photo display is ready for viewing now in the library 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 2:30 p.m. on Fridays. The library is located in the Tom Reed Academic Center building.
After viewing the exhibit, look around and take advantage of the services we offer to the community.
