NATCHEZ — Services for Barney Williams Sr., 46, of Natchez, who died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, in Natchez, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Free Springs Baptist Church in Doloroso.
Burial will be the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Williams was born April 17, 1963, in Natchez, the son of Albert Smith and Laura Williams Smith Spencer.
He was preceded in death by his father; two sisters, Janice Lee Minor and Schawornder Smith; and one brother, Lee Mark Brengettsy.
Survivors include a loving wife of 11 years, Ruth E. Williams; one son, Barney Williams Jr.; one stepdaughter, Dwen Katrina Anderson, all of Natchez; his mother and stepfather, David Spencer of Doloroso; eight sisters, Irma Williams, Latonya Neal and husband, Jerry, Savana Smith and Karen Abram, all of Doloroso, Cynthia Ward of Woodville, Dorothy Sylvester and husband, Robert, of Natchez, Audrey Smith of Vidalia and Shelia Smith of Detroit; 11 brothers, Maurice Williams, Irvin Williams, Frederick Williams and wife, Yvette, Alvin Smith and wife, Kanethia, all of Doloroso, Patrick Williams and wife, Nicole, Calvin Smith, William “Louis” Smith, all of Natchez, the Rev. Walter Smith and wife, Linda, of Roxie, Bo Washington of Gloster, Cleveland Owens and wife, Margaret, of Crosby and Albert Smith of Tallulah, La.; three aunts; four uncles; four great-aunts; one great-uncle; father-in-law, the Rev. Matthew L. Anderson; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
