NATCHEZ — The United Blood Services will have a blood drive Wednesday at McLaurin Elementary School. The blood drive is part of the school’s Partners in Education community project.
The blood drive will be from 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the school.
The United Blood Service reports that 125 units are needed each day to support the local blood need.
Donors must be 16 or older and in good health.
Donors that are 16 must have parental consent before donating. All donors must wait eight weeks before donating blood again. All donors will need to show ID.
Before donating blood, drink plenty of water and eat a regular diet. Donors who are currently taking medication should bring a list of all medicines to the blood drive.
