NATCHEZ — The respiratory care practitioner program at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez is hosting a walk-a-thon to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The “Great Strides Walk” will be Saturday, Sept. 12, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the campus, off Col. Pitchford Parkway. Participants should get sponsors for the 6.2 mile walk, six laps around Co-Lin Circle.
Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease, which affects the lungs and digestive system. Despite the tremendous progress being made in the field of CF research, there is still no cure to this disease. The money raised from Great Strides will help support vital CF science.
Those interested should contact Walt Wilson, Respiratory Care instructor at 601-446-1161 or walt.wilson@colin.edu.
