BATON ROUGE — Services for the Rev. John Henry Scott Sr., 94, of Baton Rouge, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, pastor, teacher and friend who was called home to be with the Lord Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gloryland Baptist Church in Baton Rouge.
Burial will follow at Southern Memorial Gardens under the direction of Winnfield Funeral Home in Baton Rouge.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6:45 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a wake service at 7 p.m., and from 8:45 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Rev. Scott was the pastor of Bleak House Baptist Church in Woodville and Nathaniel Baptist Church in Centreville. His memory and legacy will live in the hearts and minds of those who remain.
Following the service, a repast will be at the Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in Baton Rouge.
