Ceaser Washington

NATCHEZ — Services for Ceaser Washington, 80, of Natchez, who died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson, were 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greater New Zion Baptist Church.
Burial followed at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Mr. Washington was born March 27, 1929, in Adams County, the son of Ceaser and Rosie Lee Hence Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include a loving and devoted wife, Sylvia Washington; two sons, Timothy Washington and Lamont Ceasar Washington; one stepdaughter, Hattie Berkhart, all of Natchez; one stepson, Richard Fleming and wife, Shirley, of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Betty Woods of Natchez and Claudia M. Washington of California; one brother, Rufus Fitzgerald of Natchez; five grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 19 step-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
