LIBERTY — Services for Mildred Bruss Rowe, 90, of Liberty, who died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at Field Memorial Community Hospital in Centreville, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Liberty Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Walt Gaston officiating.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Rowe was born Nov. 19, 1918, in Centreville, the daughter of Frank and Augusta Bruss.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, E.M. “Shorty” Rowe; seven brothers, Alonzo, Edwin, Arnold, Harold, Raymond, Melvin and Ralph; and one son-in-law, Clyde Leake.
Survivors include one daughter, Imogene Leake of Liberty; one son, Lamont Rowe and wife, Margaret, of Natchez; six grandchildren, Marvin Leake and wife, Gina, of Hattiesburg, Warren Leake and wife, Lisa, and Ralph Leake and wife, Leslie, all of Liberty, Philip Leake and wife, Joy, of Smithdale, Brandon Rowe and wife, Jennifer Beth, of Franklin, Tenn., and Jennifer Hughes and husband, Keith, of Norcross, Ga.; 12 great-grandchildren, Sarah Leake Thornton, Samantha Leake Eldridge and Caleb Leake, all of Hattiesburg, Stuart and Mary Emma Hughes of Norcross, Landon, Lauren, Tyler and Riley Leake, all of Liberty, and Emilee, Alex and Ava Leake, all of Smithdale; three great-great-grandchildren, Braeden and Kaylee Thornton and Zadie Lu Eldrige, all of Hattiesburg.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Leake, Warren Leake, Ralph Leake, Philip Leake, Caleb Leake, Brandon Rowe and Keith Hughes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Liberty Presbyterian Church or to a charity of choice.
