WOODVILLE — Clinging to a 14-13 lead late, Wilkinson County High School recovered a late fumble and drove the field for a clinching score with 3 seconds left to beat Port Gibson 20-13.
Port Gibson fumbled with 3:00 to go in the game, and WCHS drove it down the field to score on a Brandon Horton 2-yard run.

In the third, Port Gibson scored twice. The first touchdown was on a Joshua Dotson 40-yard run, and the second on a 35-yard pass from Dotson to Sidney Roland.
WCHS head coach Elbert Lyles had good things to say about his defense after the win.
“We finally stepped up and played (on defense),” Lyles said. “We sputtered at times, but got the kids focused and scored a couple of touchdowns.”
WCHS is now 3-2 on the season.
