Mail carrier greatly appreciated

I would like to use this means to say “thank you” to a lady that I don’t even know personally. Her name is Dolly White, my mail carrier. Let me tell you the story.
A couple of weeks ago, around Aug. 18, I received a call from the U.S. Post Office in Ferriday from Beverly. She stated that I had a package there in my name but it had the wrong address. So Ms. White brought it back to the post office because the address on it was not mine.
My husband went to get the package, which was cell phones that were ordered in my name but sent to a totally different address. These cell phones were not ordered by me or my family. Upon calling my cell phone service, they informed me that someone had phoned them and opened a whole new account using my name and my Social Security number. They also informed me that had my mail carrier not caught this “snafu” that these people would have used those phones, charging up ungodly bill amounts, never paying it and I would have been responsible. I stopped that incident from happening, thanks to Ms. White, but the story doesn’t even end there.
Due to these “hardworking thieves,” not receiving their package, what did they do? They ordered another set of phones a week later and just had them added to my existing account, since they have somehow gotten my Social Security number, and had them delivered to my residence.
Ms. White probably delivers mail to several hundred people every day but she is so diligent that she caught this misuse of my name and my address. She kept me from falling victim to some pathetic people who have nothing better to do but steal from others.
Had she just left that package there at that address, these criminals would have had a heyday on something that they would have not had to pay for.
Since then, she delivered another piece of mail from another place that these criminals tried to order from and have delivered to that same address, but due to her diligence, she placed it in my hands. These criminals are still at it.
So this is my “thank you” Ms. White, for taking your job responsibilities one step further. You did not have to be so diligent with watching over those of us you may never see, but my family and I are very appreciative and thank you so very much for being such a great employee of our government when that is needed so much. It puts faith back into those of us who have lost it to some degree.
