NATCHEZ — Police are searching for suspects in a Monday night strong-arm robbery at Walmart, and while the attackers may have gotten away with the victim’s purse, she left her mark as well.
The incident happened at approximately 9:30 p.m., Natchez Police Sgt. Craig Godbold said.
The two suspects reportedly approached a woman sitting in a car and asked for directions, and when the woman rolled the window to speak to the suspects, one of them reached through the window and tried to grab her purse, Godbold said.
The woman began to struggle against the assailant, and during the course of the struggle she bit him on the left forearm.
“She bit him hard enough to draw blood, so there will definitely be a mark on his arm,” Godbold said.
The suspects were able to take the woman’s purse, and fled the scene of foot, possibly leaving the area in a small, green car, Godbold said.
The suspects are described as black males between the age of 19 and 25, both with slim builds and heights between 5-feet-7-inches and 5-feet-9-inches, Godbold said.
One of the suspects had a low haircut and the second one had either short dreadlocks or braids, he said.
