NATCHEZ — Services for James Lee “Deeda Maine” Washington Jr., 32, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Sibley.
Burial will follow under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Washington, affectionately known as “Deeda Maine” was born May 2, 1977, in Natchez, the son of James Lee Washington Sr. and Janice Marie Washington. He was a 1995 graduate of Natchez High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Roosevelt Lucas and Alice W. Wilson; stepfathers, William Jones and Perry Wilson; and two cousins, Latoya Washington and Ronnie Jones.
Survivors include his parents; two sisters, Alicia Green and husband, Milton, and Charnell Washington; two brothers, Yarnell Washington and Anthony Washington; grandmother, Laura Washington Jones; grandfather, Alphonse Christmas, all of Natchez; two aunts, Mary Washington of Natchez and Joyce Marie Washington of Dallas; four uncles, George Henyard of Morgan City, La., Johnny Washington of Natchez, Lee Edward Washington and Alphonse Washington, both of Baton Rouge; seven great-aunts; three great-uncles; two nephews; seven nieces; and a number of other relatives and friends.
