WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Graveside services for Annie B. “Peggy” Lanehart, 85, of Warner Robins, Ga., formerly of Natchez, who died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Natchez City Cemetery.
Burial will follow under the direction of McCullough Funeral Home in Warner Robins.
Ms. Lanehart was born March 28, 1924, in Natchez, the daughter of Harry King Barth and Annie McClure Barth. While living and raising a family in Natchez, she was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the National Genealogy Association. She moved to Warner Robins in 1966 to work at Robins Air Force Base and retired after more than 20 years of service. An avid reader, she enjoyed cooking and also had a great passion for history and historic preservation. She was a Presbyterian by faith.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Leona Williams; one grandson, Rory Carnes; and her parents.
Survivors include three daughters, Beth Huff and husband, Richard, of Warner Robins, Julia Nicholson and husband, Richard, of Bonaire, Ga., and Christie Whitney of Natchez; one son, Ted Lanehart Jr., of Calhoun, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be sent to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
