STUTTGART, Ark. — Memorial services for Jerry Lee Baldridge Sr., 70, of Denham Springs, La., formerly of Vicksburg and Hot Springs, Ark., who died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at Lake Norfork, Ark., will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Turpin Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Turpin Funeral Home in Stuttgart, Ark.
Mr. Baldridge was born May 25, 1939, in Paragould, Ark., the son of Leon and Virginia Cook Baldridge. He was a 1957 graduate of Paragould High School. Jerry was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and Order of the Arrow and the Elks Club. He retired from The Kroger Company after a career spanning more than 45 years as store manager and auditor. In recent years he enjoyed volunteering at CelticFest Mississippi in Jackson.
As a cancer survivor, Jerry lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment caring for the family that he dearly loved and was so very proud of.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Candace Forman; his parents; and one brother, David Michael Baldridge.
Survivors include his wife, Angeline Baldridge; two sons, Jerry Baldridge Jr. of Stuttgart and Terry Baldridge and wife, Leila, of Vicksburg; two daughters, Kimberly Forman of Baton Rouge and Monica Hodges of Denham Springs; three grandchildren, Keegan Baldridge of Vicksburg, Kaitlyn Hodges and Teddy Burchfield and wife, Destiny, and their son, Carter Burchfield, all of Denham Springs; and his father-and mother-in-law, Brant and Gwen Barnett of Ferriday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
