FERRIDAY — Services for Celia Sheppard, 79, of Vidalia, who died Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee A. Martin officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery at Lake St. John under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sheppard was born July 31, 1930, in Ferriday, the daughter of John and Rose Walker White. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Shelly Sheppard and Jimmy Sheppard and wife, Selida, all of Vidalia; four daughters, Mary Jordan and husband, Johnny, of Ferriday, Rosetta Monroe and husband, Louis, of Milwaukee, Wisc., Effie Spinks and husband, Jack, of Chicago and Georgia Fleming and husband, Charles, of Washington, Pa.; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
