LIBERTY — Services for Carolyn J. Rogers, 72, of Natchez, formerly of Liberty, who died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at Adams County Nursing Center, will be at 11 a.m. today at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Grady Fulton officiating.

Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.

Mrs. Rogers was born Feb. 12, 1937, in Liberty, the daughter of Noel Melton and Eddie V. Melton. She was divisional manager at Sears in Natchez and was a retired mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Tammy Allen.

Survivors include her husband, Arlis D. Rogers; two sons, Arlis Rogers Jr. of Natchez and Doyle Rogers; six grandchildren, Gregory Bryan Rogers, Alisha Rogers, Afton Rogers, Sabrina Holden, Catrina Johns and Chris Cobb; two sisters, Eula Etheridge and husband, V.C., and Geneva Cain and husband, Donald; and two brothers, Noel Melton and wife, Sherry, and James Lee Melton.
