Concordia Bank top contributor for March of Dimes

Vidalia — The 2009 March of Dimes Rivercities Walk America 2.2 mile walk was Saturday, Oct. 25 at the Vidalia Conference and Convention Center.
A total of six teams participated with 75 walkers who raised a total of $9,320. Concordia Bank’s team had 26 walkers.
Concordia Bank’s team raised $4,789 and a $1,000 corporate donation for a total of $5,789. The Concordia Bank team received the awards for the most money raised by a team, and the individual, Patsy Galler, who raised the most funds, $1,200.
Patricia Anderson of Concordia Bank and co-chairman of the walk said their team success wouldn’t have been possible without the community’s support.
“Thank you to our local business sponsors for their support of the walk,” Anderson said.
Local sponsors were Concordia Bank & Trust Co., Natchez Community Hospital, Delta Bank, LA Hydro, The Markets, Afterglow, Riverview RV Park, and the Vidalia Conference and Convention Center.
Several businesses that donated food and beverages for this event. The businesses were Kaye’s Market in Ferriday, Kentwood Water and B-Qwik.
