NATCHEZ — Services for Henry “Hen” Kaho Jr., 83, of Natchez, who died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Jefferson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Anthony Colenburg officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mr. Kaho was born Feb. 20, 1926, in Jefferson County, the son of William Henry Kaho and Emma Lewis Kaho.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sadie Gaines Kaho; seven children, Charles Gaines, Eva Mae Kaho, Yvonne Kaho, Rosie Mae Ware and three infants; and four siblings, Herman Kaho Sr., Sarah Kaho Day, Lettie Kaho Irving and Benjamin Kaho.
Survivors include his wife, Flora Watts Kaho; 14 children, Emmett Gaines, Sadie Walls and husband, Bobby, Elbert Kaho and wife, Shirley, Wandus Kaho and wife, Mae Ethel, Mary Kaho Lowe and husband, Carl, all of Natchez, Henry Kaho III and wife, Maxine, of Fayette, Venearl Michael of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Lorenzo Kaho, Larry Kaho and wife, Nicole, Kenneth Wayne Kaho, Craig L. Kaho and wife, Felicia, Tony Kaho and wife, Melissa, Flora M. Cornish and husband, Chris, and Capriciana Watts; 29 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lottie M. Kaho; one brother, Willie Kaho; one sister-in-law, Laura Chrisen; three brothers-in-law, James Day, Robert Carroll and Charlie Gaines; two special friends, Sammy Green and Parish Martin; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
