FAYETTE — Services for Maxwell Barker, 83, of Fayette, who died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at Arnold’s Personal Care Home, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Taylor Chapel Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Friday at the church.
Mr. Barker was born Dec. 15, 1925, in Jefferson County, the son of Sam Barker and Elsie Rankin Barker.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include three daughters, Rebecca J. Madison and husband, Willard, Naomi J. Carroll and husband, Robert, all of Natchez, and the Rev. Bobbie J. Dorn of Stockbridge, Ga.; one son, the Rev. Michael F. Jackson and wife, Tamara, of McDonough, Ga.; five sisters, Louvenia Adams, Emma Anderson, both of Fayette, Lucinda Cusic and husband, Eddie, of Leland, Easter Chambers of Vicksburg and Carrie Long of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, one brother, Nathaniel Barker and wife, Mamie Lee, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; six grandchildren; a special cousin, Willie Rankin; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
