MONTEREY — Local law enforcement officials are searching for a Monterey man missing since Nov. 6.
Robert L. Wells, 61, has not been seen since 8 a.m. last Friday, when he left a Finley Road residence in his 1997 black, two-door Chevrolet Blazer, which has a Louisiana license plate of SDS027 and an LSU plate on the front bumper, according to a news release from the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Family members say it’s unusual that he hasn’t contacted anyone by phone, and his three children — who live in Texas — have not heard from him, either, the release said.
It’s possible that Wells made a purchase at Auto Zone in Ferriday the day he disappeared, and those seeking information hope that someone worked on his car and heard Wells say where he was going, the release said.
Wells, who is described as a black man who is 6-feet tall and 185 pounds with gray hair and a gray mustache, is said to have very high blood pressure. He suffered a stroke in June.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact the CPSO at 318-757-3162, 318-336-5231 or 318-386-2200.
