ROSETTA — Services for Eddice Bailey Jenkins, 90, of Crosby, who died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at Sweet Home Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Gloster under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Jenkins was born April 10, 1919, in Hamburg, the daughter of Elmo Bailey and Mary Brooks.
Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her husband, Sargent Jenkins Sr.; parents; one son, A.D. Williams; one daughter, Ollie Mae Jenkins; one grandson, Darrius Brown; two sisters, Annie M. Johnson and Buelah Turner; four brothers, Johnnie, Joe, Charlie and Elmo Bailey.
Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Reed and Frances Howard and husband, Andrew, all of Chicago and Belinda Jenkins of Crosby; five sons, Sargent Jenkins Jr. of Roxie, Marshall Jenkins of Whitfield, Larry Jenkins of Centreville, Dennis Jenkins of Baton Rouge and Elvis Jenkins and wife, Rachael of Crosby; two sisters, Luvinia Jenkins of Gloster and Annie Mae Bailey of Atlanta; two brothers, Alex Blackmon of Gloster and David Bailey of Centreville; 18 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
