Adams Christian boys pick up win over Rebul

NATCHEZ — James Moffett and Lee Swinney led Adams County Christian School with 17 points each as the Rebels defeated the Rebul Academy Raiders 78-56 Friday night.
ACCS (4-2) scored the first 12 points of the game before Rebul Academy made its first basket of the game. By the end of the first quarter, the Rebels had a 33-8 led. But the Raiders had no quit in them and responded by outscoring ACCS 27-17 in the second quarter to trail by 15 points at halftime.
However, the Rebels regained their momentum in the second half and eventually wore down the Raiders. ACCS led by 17 points at the end of the third quarter and outscored Rebul 14-9 in the fourth quarter.
Alvion Sampson scored 12 points for ACCS, which rebounded from a 33-point loss at Parklane just 24 hours earlier. Allen Daniels led Rebul with 17 points and Justin McGuffee had 14 points.
Terry girls 73, Wilkinson County 35
TERRY — Spann (no first name given) and Shaniqua Love combined to score 34 points as the Lady Bulldogs had little trouble in defeating the Lady Wildcats Friday night.
Spann led all scorers with 18 points and Love had 16 points as Terry jumped out to a 21-10 lead over Wilkinson County at the end of the first quarter and never looked back from there. By the end of the third quarter, the Lady Bulldogs had a commanding 61-28 lead.
Breshiana Day led Wilkinson County with 12 points while Tyeshia Harris had 11 points and L. Brown added 10 points.
