NATCHEZ — Services for Glen Smith Sr., 54, of Country Club Hills, Ill., who died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at St. James Hospital in Chicago, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 8 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday, both at the church.

Mr. Smith was born Nov. 22, 1954, in Adams County, the son of Henry Smith Sr. and Thelma W. Smith.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and 10 siblings, Willie G. Williams Sr., Gustina Williams, Rosa L. Walker, Charles Walker, the Rev. Henry Smith, Jacqueline Rose Smith-West, Aubrey Williams, Willie G. Williams Jr., Dr. Vivyan Palmer and Bentley Scott.

Survivors include a longtime companion, Veronia Mathis; his father; six children, Lynncord Smith, Tawona Smith, Glennese Smith Scott and husband, Brock, Amanda Smith, LaToya Mitchell and Glen Smith Jr.; one sister, Ira Smith Young and husband, Andre; two brothers, Henry Smith Jr. and wife, Dale, and Raythell Smith Sr. and wife, Edrena; four grandchildren, Lexus Scott, Tylon Smith, Camry Scott and Jadarrius Smith; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
