NATCHEZ — The Delta Epsilon Chi organization at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez recently attended the annual DEX State Leadership Conference at Hinds Community College in Raymond.
Co-Lin student and DEX member Oscar Porter of Natchez earned a medal in the Mock Competition category, his second year to medal at state competition. The DEX chapter also won the Spirit Award for the third consecutive year.
“Our students traditionally do very well at their leadership conferences. We are proud of our students and their accomplishments,” said Teresa Busby, Natchez campus vice president.
DEX is a business-oriented organization that is comprised primarily of students in the Business and Marketing Management Technology Program and the Hospitality/Tourism Management Technology Program. Advisors are Melinda Laird and Nancy Best.
“The Delta Epsilon Chi organization is great example of students learning marketable skills outside of the classroom,” Laird said. “This conference covered topics ranging from professional dress, interviewing and business communications and how to accomplish your goals. As always I am very proud of our students. They represent Co-Lin very well at the state level.”
