FERRIDAY — Services for Michael Don “Mike” Wilson, 63, of Kentwood, La., formerly of Natchez, who died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, after a brief illness will be at 11 a.m. today at Pine Ridge United Methodist Church, Kentwood.
Burial will follow in the Pine Ridge Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 8 a.m. the church until services.
Mr. Wilson was born on Tuesday, May 7, 1946, in Purcell, Okla., to Darrell Frank and Dovie Evelyn Wilson.
Mike was dearly loved by his family and was always laughing and smiling and telling jokes.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and his pack of beagles were his babies.
He served in the United States Army Artillery Division in Vietnam during the sixties.
Wilson is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Virginia Easley Wilson; stepson, Jeff Burnette of Ocean Springs; stepdaughter Tammy Burnette Williams and husband, Neal “Shortie” Williams; three brothers, David Wilson and wife, Beverly; Gary Wilson and wife, Tammy; Dana Wilson and wife, Beverly all of Natchez; grandson, Austin Neal Williams; granddaughter, Elizabeth DeLaSalle Vining and husband, Daniel; a great-granddaughter Alexis Brenna Vining, who is due any day and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
