FAYETTE — Services for Annelise Marie “Ann” Draughon, 82, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. today at Spencer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Southerland officiating.

Burial will follow at McNair Cemetery under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home in Fayette.

Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Draughon was born Dec. 14, 1926, in Ludwigshafen, Germany, the daughter of Otto and Hilda Goppele. For 30 years she lived in McNair where she and her husband, William “Pete” Draughon, owned and operated a small country store for 20 years. She was a resident of Natchez for six years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

Survivors include one daughter, Donna Draughon Tidwell of Natchez; one granddaughter, Casey Marie Tidwell of Natchez; and her beloved dog, Annie.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Smith, Ronald Nettles, Ronnie Nettles, Lee Payne, Paul Zimmerman and Timothy McKnight.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty McPhate and Tommy “Red” Tiffee.
