BUDE — Services for Larry Lynn “Skeeter” Halford, 62, of Meadville, who died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. today at Bude First Baptist Church with the Rev. Brad Moak and the Rev. Webb Armstrong officiating.
Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.
Mr. Halford was born Sept. 2, 1947, in Natchez, the son of Aaron Thomas Halford Jr. and Grace Helen Bonds Halford. He was employed by Herring Gas Company as a gas salesman.
Mr. Halford also served in Vietnam. He was a member of Bude First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Bankston Halford; two daughters, Kristi Hester of Meadville and Brandi Hollingsworth of Florence; two grandchildren; his mother; two brothers, Bud Halford of Pearl and Johnny Halford of Meadville; and three sisters, Alma Cochran of Pearl, Martha Oakman of Clinton and Debbie Adams of Brookhaven.
Pallbearers will be Jody Herring, Pat Larkin, Denver Goodson, Eddie Stebbins, Jake Adams and Dunc McCormick.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Ashley, Ed Herring, Mike Goff and the deacons of Bude Baptist Church.
