GLOSTER — Services for Ruby Robertson Smith, 71, of Ridgecrest, who died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, at Rapides Parish General Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be at 2 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith was born March 8, 1938, in Coldwater, Mo., the daughter of Emmitt Seal and Bertha Seal. She was employed by Fish Fry Seafood Restaurant for a number of years. She loved to cook and she never met a stranger.

Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Smith of Ferriday; one son, Mike Robertson of Ridgecrest; one grandson, Josh Smith and wife, Miranda; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Smith and Clayton Smith; two sisters, Kate Wheeler and Helen Moraglia; and one brother, Robert Seal.

Pallbearers will be Randy Reinninger, Wayne Thompson, Jody Smith, Tim Bond, Randy Lipscomb and Roger Lee Robertson.
