Christmas isn’t stressful with Christ

I am responding to the Dec. 18 column of Ben Hillyer concerning his hectic Christmas.

By the sound of it, he does not know the true meaning of Christmas or he would not be so stressed out. I too have spent some years struggling financially, but always was able to provide for my family due to the graciousness of God. We always remembered what Christmas is about and depended on Him to see us through the tough times. I hope Mr. Hillyer did, indeed, give his mother a gift. It seems she really deserves one.

He said his first Christmas was a perfect Christmas, but I beg to differ in that he made no mention of the real reason we are celebrating this season.
