VIDALIA — Services for Clarence “Konky” Randall Jr., 94, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at University Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Young’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Wendell Greene Sr., officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Randall was born Sept. 25, 1915, in Vidalia, the son of Clarence and Catherine Bottom Randall. He was a retired painter. Mr. Randall served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was an active member of Young’s Chapel Church and served as a deacon and was the superintendent of the Sunday school. He was also a member of American Legion Post 590 of Vidalia.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl Cook Randall; two sons, Clarence Randall III and wife, Shirley, of Vidalia and John Randall and wife, Willie Mae, of Ferriday; three daughters, Ollie Jones and husband, Willie, of Natchez, Selina Sheppard and husband, Jimmie, and Katherine Randall and husband, James Warner, all of Vidalia; one sister, Clarice McClure of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Ernest King of Wichita Falls, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Alberta Davis and Marilyn Buckner, both of Vidalia; 13 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
