NATCHEZ — Services for Carmen Simone Sanders, 22, of Natchez, who died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, in Ridgeland, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fourth Street Church of Christ with the Rev. Dwight Green officiating.

Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Carmen was born Nov. 28, 1987, in Natchez, the daughter of Elizabeth Sanders and Charles Sanders. She attended Holy Family Catholic School and Natchez public schools. She was a 2006 graduate of Natchez High School and attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Holmes Community College and Mississippi State University Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Mary Roosevelt Curtis and Audrey Clark Sanders; her grandfather, Burel Sanders Sr.; one aunt, Mary Curtis Easton; three uncles, Willie Lee White, Burel Sanders Jr. and Revawn Sanders; and great-aunt, Martha Curtis Alexander.

Survivors include her parents; three sisters, Audrey Sanders Ross and Donna Sanders Smith and husband, Monroe, all of Chicago, and Cynthia Sanders of Tallahassee, Fla.; three aunts, Mary Lee George of Detroit, Earline White of Houston, Texas and Barbara Crenshaw of Natchez; two uncles, Leon Sanders of California and James White of Natchez; godmother, Jackie Johnson; godfather, Titus Davis, both of Natchez; her special pets, Red and Harvey; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
