WOODVILLE — Services for Marie G. Metcalfe, 76, of Fort Adams, who died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at her residence, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Newman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Seith Partin and Brett Havard officiating.
Burial will follow at Homer Hill Cemetery in Crosby under the direction of Newman Funeral Home in Woodville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Sunday, both at the funeral home.
Mrs. Metcalfe was born in Wilkinson County, the daughter of Clyde and Dee Cavin Faulkner. She was a retired seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney “Teddy” Metcalfe; her parents; one daughter, Linda Sterling; one grandson; and one great-grandson.
Survivors include two daughters, Myrtis Venable and husband, Danny, of Dayton, Texas and Wanda Ladner and husband, Wylie, of Fort Adams; two sons, Edward “Buster” Metcalfe of Baton Rouge and Clifford Metcalfe and wife, Mary Ann, of Gloster; one brother, James Faulkner of Hattiesburg; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Natchez Children’s Home.
