NATCHEZ — Services for Ruby Irene Brooks, 84, of Natchez, who died Jan. 16, 2010, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Darian Duckworth officiating.

Burial will follow in Roxie Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brooks was born July 14, 1925, in Louisville, the daughter of Lewis and Sarah Rose Anna Massey. She was a member of Washington United Methodist Church. Mrs. Brooks was retired from Life and Casualty Insurance Company, where in 1979 she led the company in sales. Mrs. Brooks is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, George Eames Jr.; three sisters, Lena Jackson, Mary Welch and Lillie Brown; one granddaughter, Candice McInnis and a grandson, John Walker.

Survivors include three daughters, Frances Rehms and husband, James, of Natchez, Barbara McInnis and husband, Jimmy, of Meridian and Margie Bean of Natchez; one sister-in-law, Patsy Eames of Ferriday; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and a special friend, Margaret Smith.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Rehms, Michael Rehms, Jerry Rehms, Garry Rehms, Jason Johnston and Joshua Johnston.

Honorary pallbearers will be Darryl Gunter, Tres Rehms, Jeremy Rehms and Tracey Whitehead.
