Vidalia woman allegedly stabs boyfriend

VIDALIA — An apparent domestic disturbance led to the arrest of a Vidalia woman on charges she stabbed her boyfriend Thursday.

Tina T. Matthews, 24, 803 N. Magnolia St., Vidalia, was arrested by the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office on charges of aggravated second-degree battery.

According to a news release from the CPSO, Matthews and her boyfriend were apparently having an argument in the parking lot of the Ferriday apartment complex where her boyfriend lived at the time of the incident.

During the course of the argument, Matthews allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the back of his right shoulder, according to the release.

The suspect was reportedly still holding the knife at the time the deputies responding to the call arrived, the release said.

The 29-year-old victim was treated at a local hospital, according to the release.

The incident remains under investigation.
