JACKSON — The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for the Mississippi River at Natchez starting Feb. 7.

The flood stage Monday was 34.3, but the river is expected to rise above its 48-foot flood stage on Feb. 8.

Weather service models show the river level at 50.5 feet by Feb. 10.

At 51 feet, water begins covering roads in the area of Fort Adams and the road to Jackson Point is flooded.
