NATCHEZ — Services for Skyelah Christian Hinson, 19, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Pentecostal Church of Natchez.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude, where she will be laid to rest beside her father.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Thursday at the church.

Ms. Hinson was born Dec. 18, 1990, in Natchez, the daughter of Richard Maurice “Richie” Hinson and Celia Silvey Hinson. She was a lifelong resident of Natchez and attended Natchez Public Schools. She was employed by B-KWIK Chevron Truck Stop in Natchez.

Skyelah was loved by all that knew her, and she never met a stranger. Skyelah had a number of interests and talents in her life; she could sing so beautifully and had a great talent for fashion. She loved just having fun with family and friends. Skyelah was a very caring and generous person that was always thinking of others before herself. She was as beautiful inside as she was on the outside; she loved all her family and friends so very much and will be missed by everyone who knew her and will never be forgotten. Her smile and beauty will forever remain in all the hearts and minds of those who loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father; two uncles, Jimmy D. Hinson Jr., and Gregory Wayne Hinson; a very special great-uncle, Lynn Hinson; paternal grandparents, Duane Hinson and Betty Hinson; and maternal grandparents, Cecil Silvey and Grace Butler.

Survivors include her mother; two brothers, Richard Gregory Hinson and Dakota Scott Hinson, all of Duck Pond Road in Natchez; two very special people to Skyelah with love always, Marc Halford and Jared Rebold; two special cousins, Grace and Rachael Halford; six aunts, Beverly Hale of Tyler, Texas, Lisa Halford of Kary, Ill., Nancy Pena of Darant, Okla., Elizabeth Nosser of Natchez, Margaret Mars of Columbia, Md., and Cheryl McClure of Overton, Texas; three uncles, Thomas “Boogie” Long of Natchez, John Bedwell of Colquitt, Ga., and Byron Bedwell III of North Dakota; a number of cousins including Hunter Hinson and wife, Sarah, and son, Gaven, all of Natchez, Trey Hinson and wife, Bambi, and children, Gloria and Gabe, all of Rustin, La., Tabatha Hinson and husband, Randy, of Monterey, and Torie Hinson and son, Chance Shaw, both of Natchez; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Marc Halford, Will Rouse, Trey Hinson, Scott Floyd, Jonathan Thorpe and Jonathan Long.

Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Stafford Jr., Hunter Hinson, Bill Hinson, Les Hinson, Don Hinson, David Hinson, Bobby Charles Hinson, Taylor Hinson, Robbie Todd, Eric Miller, Roger McRaney, David “Butch” Renfro, Sam Wilkinson, Kimble Johnson, Jimmy Halford, Ron Middleton, Wayne Caldwell and Travis McCready.

We will always have Skyelah in our memories forever. I love you, my blue eyed angel. Love mom.
