VIDALIA — Services for Robert Jones, 87, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Zion Baptist Church in Vidalia.

Burial will follow at the Vidalia City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Jones was born Feb. 10, 1922, in Woodville, the son of Willie Jones and Nellie Palmer Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and four brothers.

Survivors include three nieces, Nellie J. Dottery of Natchez, Velma D. Chatman of Germantown, Md., and Andrea L. Schutz of Princeton, N.J.; five nephews, Ernest Jackson of New Orleans, James Jackson of Baton Rouge, Robert Lee Smith of Detroit, Jimmy Earl Smith of New York and Willie James Jones of Shreveport, La.; and a number of great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
