Herman Wheeler

Natchez — Services for Herman Ray Wheeler, 80, of Woodville, who died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Field Memorial Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. today at Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Howard Killingsworth officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Wheeler was born June 18, 1929, in Wiggins, the son of Corbet Wheeler and Myrtis Lee Wheeler.

He was a recovery operator for the International Paper Company for 40 years. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Earl Wheeler and one sister, Ethel Kelly.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred; one daughter Pam Wheeler of Jackson; one son, Mike Wheeler and wife Tammy of Vidalia; three grandchildren, Lindsey and Mallory Wheeler and Ron Watts; one great-grandchild, Clay Watts; four brothers, Charles Wheeler and wife Betty Kay of Gloster, Butch Wheeler and wife Genevia of Centreville, Roddy Wheeler and wife Barbara of Crosby and Jim Wheeler and wife Gaylon of Woodville and one sister, Bettye Causey and husband Robert of Liberty.

Pallbearers are Sonny Daniels, Charles Wheeler, Butch Wheeler, Roddy Wheeler, Ron Watts and Larry Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Wheeler, Robert Causey, Alvin Havard and Friends of Blue Grass.
